My sister came down from Dallas to visit and is leaving for home tomorrow. She told me on the way heading south, that she waited 3 hours in construction traffic in the Waco/Temple area. She's heading back home tomorrow and I thought I'd ask if anyone lives in that area and is familiar with the traffic as of today.

Thanks!

I'm in Temple.... I'm not on I35 very often anymore, but it sure does seem like it's perpetually under construction.

Does she have something like Waze that can alter routes based on traffic? Sometimes it can be worth taking a bit of a detour on 317.

I used to take 281 when going from Euless to San Antonio sometimes.

I love the waze app, it's been a time saver for traffic as well as saved me more than a ticket or 2 for police reports Very Happy

I'll ask her about Waze. She's gone the 281 route before and while scenic, can take awhile. She's retired, so she's not in any real big hurry. I've always hated that drive from San Antonio to Dallas (and vice versa.) According to TXDoT, they're almost finished with the construction. Yeah, right.

Thanks for the suggestions!
