I updated my Craigslist For Sale post for the Silver 900 from Maine to the Phoenix area. Within hours, I started getting texts to my phone, asking if the bike was still available, and asking for "Vehicle History Reports" from sites I had never heard of (Auto History, Road Vibe Pro, etc). Apparently, this is a new scam, getting a seller to run these reports, exposing their personal and credit card information. I marked them all as scams and blocked them.
I ran a Vehicle History report from Carfax (a reputable company), and will provide that to future buyers
Had another guy ask if he could pay with a Cashiers Check, and then pick up the bike when the check clears. Told him to cash his own check, and then we can talk...
Pay attention, Boys and Girls, Scammers are real, and inventive assholes. |
