Hi Folks,
Thought it best to say hello first? So hello!
I was given this sites details via CB900 Riders on Facebook and have seen mentions elsewhere so thought it time I get in here and join in.
Originally I am from the UK but have been living in New Zealand now for the past 10 years so now call this home. Great place to live by the way! I had several bikes when in the UK, including a mint and standard CB750, which I sold when I moved. I also had an old AA CB750 bike when I last lived in New Zealand back on 2004, also sold. Anyway, being back here I gradually have built up my collection again and have rather a lot of bikes at home now, upto number 25 now actually.
I like just about any bike from little scooters upto big tourers. No offense to Cruisers like HD and the like, but I just don't like the ride position of those so dont have any. I have Sport bikes but own them more for nostalgia than riding as I am not as bendy as I used to be! I do tend to like older bikes and my main era I suppose is the 1970s and 1980s. I do although have 90s and 2000s bikes in the mix.
In the Honda family I have an old beast in the shape of a NC50, the touring ST1300, a new C125 Super Cub, a 92 round eye Fireblade, a 94 Foxeye Urban Tiger Fireblade, a mint 84 CB400 and of course my 1980 CB900F. I am on the look out for a nice CB750 and would love a CB1100 but they are pretty rare down here.
So folks this is me. I have a million questions as I am bringing the 900 back to life, so please forgive my ignorance and thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers all,
Dave |

PS> Sorry, forgot to add. If anyone in NZ knows of a CB1100F that's potentially for sale or how I could go about getting one from overseas, please drop me a line!
Cheers

Welcome to the site, Dave. The info you seek is here, the Search Function works well, and if you can't find the answer, we're here to help. BTW, we like pics of your ride, especially the 900... |

Look up Vince and Hyde Racing. They are in NZ and Brent has more time and knowledge invested in the CB than anyone. Goes by Captain on this site. |

Hey Dave, another kiwi here, but currently living in the US. Welcome! Where are you based? (I'm from Chch)
My two 1100Fs will be back in kiwi-land in a year's time or so with me, along with an 1100R I have there.
You're welcome to PM me if you want to chat about anything.
Cheers,
Michael |

NZ is not a bad place to be in these crazy times, I certainly can understand my fellow citizens coming home.
Welcome Dave, to a great site that is full of very keen enthusiasts. Must of whatever you seek about the CB....F can be answered here.
It’s also great to see another “local” joining and if I can assist in anything just ask.

Hi BigDave and welcome aboard from another Kiwi - albeit living in Sydney, 'Stray'ya.
Re your quest for an 1100, what condition are you after? A mint one or a fixer-upper? I know of one of the latter that may be available here in Sydney if that's of interest. Haven't eyeballed the bike myself so can't comment on condition, but I can put you in contact with the owner who is a standup fellow.
Cheers...Tony |

Good thing you're a new fella from New Zealand. Old fellas from Old Zealand aren't welcome!
Nice assortment of bikes. |
