Hello forum friends! I've got a move coming up cross country (Rochester, NY to Richmond, VA). I am searching for assistance with moving 4 (or more) motorcycles in an enclosed trailer. It's about 450 miles one way...
I have my own truck to pull the trailer, but don't own an enclosed trailer or have the ability to buy one for this one time use. Is there anyone willing to rent their large enclosed trailer to me or know of any suitable trailers in their network?
I'm trying to cut costs where I can, so hiring a shipper at $500 per bike is not an option.
Thanks in advance for anyone with leads on this
Dean |

Dean,
Ronnie and Janet are coming to Spring ride. maybe they can haul 2 or 3 back. Also George is just outside richmond. He might be able to help as he is coming to spring ride.
Peace

A U-Haul 6' x 12' enclosed trailer can be rented one way so you don't have to drag it back. I strapped 3 bikes in one, a 4th ought to be doable.
I'm unloading all my bikes later this month, so we'll have 3 in one of them with any luck. |

I think the Vincemeister was in the wine last night !!!
Unless he's bought a new big truck and a 8 bike trailer that he hasn't shown me or anyone on the forum yet , as that's the only way I could haul 4 more bikes on the way home from the spring ride !!! |

I think vince was thinking more like take two down from the ride, but that would mean you would have to have space for at least 4 bikes since you'll have two already??
I'm fine with 2 at a time, as long as they're all moved out of my house when I have to hand over keys to the new owner
Keep the ideas flowing fellas, this all could work out |

Vince, I didnt end up asking ron because I needed to get 4 in one shot down there. I bought a cheap beat up landscapers enclosed that should fit 4 bikes and put some bearings and tires on it. My hope is to sell it when I get finished with the move |
