Hi i've had a spare swing arm for quite a while and i decided to sand it down to bare metal, prime it and paint it and put it on my project bike that i'm doing up, as the original swing arm was worse condition than the spare one i had lying around. So the end result looks pretty good so i take of the old one and put on the nice new shiny one, then i go to connect the rear brake caliper bracket rod thing to the swing arm and its not on top like the other swing arm(the bracket that you connect the rod to) it's on the bottom side of the swing arm if that makes sense. Now i'm wondering what bike it is from, the axle is the same diameter, the swing arm looks exactly like my 82 CB900f swing arm except the little bracket that should be on the top right hand side is underneath right hand side. Any ideas. Thanks.

Gotta look at that stuff.

You have a drum brake SA instead of disc. The drum anti-rotation arm attaches under the arm on those.

A picture or two will help for sure. One of the original swinger and one of the one you just installed would be helpful. Then we can try to identify what you might have there.

Maybe from the CB650 or CB750C line up of the 1980's

Well i put my Macgyver skills into practice and came up with a solution by welding a bracket on top of the swing arm where it should of been. Now there's one one the top and one on the bottom.
