Found a old magni honda in Holland in 2014.
The bike has Suzuki wheels and other forks.
Magni is world famous frame builder from Italy.
Arturo magni was the chief engineer of the MV Agusta works race team.
When this stopped he started his own motorcycle factory.
He started to build about 250 frame kits for the honda cb supersport bol d'or bikes.
This bike has frame number 0004 so is one of the first bikes.
Frame is build with chroom molybdeen steel pipes.
My plans are to build this bike back to original with the best parts which i can find in my workshop.
The bike is ready now and i like to share the rebuild here on the forum.
It al started with this,

Wout,

Congratulations on finding such a nice piece of motorcycle history. I am looking forward to watching this build very much. Thank you for sharing it with all of us on CN1100F.NET. Cool

I like the basic looks of that one a little better, but I like thew mods on the other one. I'm not wild about the red and yellow, I called it a clown before. Embarassed Laughing

Seems to me that the accolades not be given so much to Magni, but to the Craftsman that took a very nice frame and turned it into a fantastic machine. Therefore, the true award goes to you in Holland.....great work and a beautiful end result.

I like the basic colors of that one a little better, but I like the oil cooler, fork, and wheel mods on the other one.

I'm not wild about the red and yellow he came up with, I called it a clown before. Embarassed Laughing

Whatever, to each his own. Wink

Color is one thing that is self expressive Gene and used much more broadly in other parts of the world than in the U.S. Maybe that's why from 79-82 we such a wide range of choices here in the U.S. for our F bikes. You could get yourself a silver one or a black one....Darren's Evo was black, but what he did by adding gold metalflake made it far from boring.....the red and yellow aren't my favorite either but they go good together and he likes it which is all that matters. How it runs and drives is far more important......

on this picture we can see which frame section you can remove.
you have to remove the middle section when you have to remove the valve cover.

Now we see the 2 magni frames together with a stock honda cb1100RB frame.
You can see a lot difference in the steering head.

Wow... but since it's chrome moly it should be robust. Is it lighter than the stock frame?

Looks awesome! Very Happy

So you're ditching the USD front end and the other wheels and going back to stock?

I started the restoration of this 2 magni,s one year ago.
It is easy to rebuild a complete bike with this lift.

Yes Gene this bike will be as stock as possible.
The other magni is the special.
I will show some pics later in this topic.
