Today Keith Goodman from the UK visit me to pick up the RC he bought from me.
It was great to meet him [and his naber] again and we made a short testride together both on a R.
This is Keith on his 'new' superbike! |

Hi
Yes I am now the proud owner of a RC
A big thanks to Wout for finding this one for me, and all his help making yesterday run smoothly as I went to Holland and back in a Day,My neighbour Dave took me in his van,we left home at 4.30am to get the ferry to France, then drove through France, Belguim and into Holland
Looked at Wout's fine collection of Bikes, then road tested my RC following Wout on one of his RB's through the lovely Dutch countryside, Wout then took me to sort out the Paperwork to import and register the RC into the UK, we then drove back to Calais and got the ferry home and arrived back home at 11.45pm and did just over 600 miles
Just of to the garage now to get the Bike ready for the MOT test next week so i can get it ready for the road
Keith

lovely bike well done, its ok to be jealous - does it have the rich mans pannier on the LH side, just about big enough to hold a spare pair of knickers and a credit card
many moons ago I sold my RC to my brother in law - for more than the last 20yrs - it has sat in his garage - used a prop stand for furniture . old pushbikes and other general household junk - slowly turning to alloy fur - don't know if he even bothers spinning her over these days - shame |

Congrats Keith. Looks like you've scored a lovely bike there. Love the first pic of you looking all pleased with your self.
Look forward to seeing you up Box Hill on it.
Take care mate..... |

Not, if you put the tool kit in, which is supposed to be in there.... |

Looking mighty good there Keith.
Is it just coincidence that your helmet colours match the bike?
Cheers Stu |

No it does not have the toolbox, and you should go round you brother in laws and rescue your old RC, maybe he will not know the value of it and you can restore it

Been a few weeks now since i went to Holland to collect my R
Had to do a few jobs before i took it for the MOT test, Fitted new head bearings, fork springs and Tyres
Also fitted a 4-2 front exhaust from a cb900 Wout supplied with the bike and a pair of Marving Silencers off one of my 1100's
Passed the test with flying colours and then took a few weeks to get it registered
Finally got the registration back last Friday and have done over 200 miles since
First impressions are that is that it is far quicker than my 1100f's and handles far better and actually stops as well, have ridden it mainly on twisty country lanes and bike feels very stable over bumpy sections
Again a big thanks to Wout who found this very nice RC for me
Went out this morning and stopped to take a couple of photos at the Balcombe Viaduct in Sussex, This is on the main London to Brighton railway and carries over 100 trains per day
Its another fine example of Victorian Engineering, it is 450 meters long and 29 meters high and was opened in 1841 and 11 million bricks were used and were imported from the Netherlands (Like my RC)
