So, what is the largest modern rear tire that will fit the stock rim and not rub on the rear caliper stay on a 1982 CB900F SS?
Anyone know? |

A 130 tire will leave a few millimeters on each side of the tire. |

I'm using Shinko Tour Master on all of my regular street bikes now.
They're V rated and not too expensive. (Compared to the BS Battlax BT-45)
I can recommend them highly. See here:

Just select the size you want. |

Shinko Motorcycle Tires
"Shinko Motorcycle Tires began as a company producing bicycle tires and tubes in Japan in 1946. In 1998, the Shinko Group acquired the motorcycle tire technology from Yokohama and began production of Shinko motorcycle tires. A relative newcomer to the motorcycle tire industry, Shinko tires utilize innovative Japanese engineering and design with extensive testing and R&D at their multiple US warehouses. Shinko motorcycle tires are available no matter what what your riding style, offering a variety of standout products."
I have them on my 900F not bad for the kind of riding I do. |
