I stopped at a dealer the other day to look at some saddlebags for an overnight trip I am taking and didn't have much luck
He had one pair of Tourmasters and they seemed to large to allow a passenger to fit.The length of the bags interfered with the passenger foot pegs.
I have a stock set-up with the turn signals somewhat restricting the amount you can slide the bags back.
Anyone out there find suitable results with some textile bags they would like to share, pics would be cool, they won't be permanently mounted and just need to hold some overnight stuff for the wife. So,as large as possible |

Way back when ('84) I got a set of soft bags, Slipstream I think & discovered the same issue. I used some 2" flat bar & made some extenders for the rear turnsignals to move them back approx 3-1/2". The net result gave just enough legroom for the passenger. I ended up leaving those on for years now that I think of it. Maybe an option?

I was thinking in that direction as most bags are around 15-16" long.I would rather leave the turn signals alone but I may rig some to my luggage rack and do it that way. |

I have a set of old style leather saddlebags for sale. Not bulky at all. I'll post a picture tomorrow. If you're interested, PM me. |

A friend of mine has these CorTech bags (in the background on the silver 900 - sorry for the pic, it's the best one I have) that she uses on her CB400SF. They fit nicely and hold enough for her to go away on weekends.
I can get the model of them if you'd like. But I'd guess they are searchable on the CorTech website.
Cheers. |

Hello Gham:
The Cortech bags are the way to go - I have them on my 1100F.
CBX-tras is just sold 3 1100Fs for another site member who barely survived a head on crash last year. He will now be selling that guys spare parts. Among them is a Cortech seat bag and a pair of panierbags.
They are here in Michigan and you could pick them up. |

This is my preferred set up. Got the saddle and tank (magnetic) bags cheap (under $100 if I remember correctly), and just a black duffle for on top the seat. Works like a charm.

That's a good looking set-up Steve!...little tight of a fit for a passenger on the rear foot pegs? |
