My intention is to go to the Moto GP at Laguna Seca this summer.
It appears reasonably priced accomodations are already scarce. For those of you who live in the area. Do you have any suggestions?
Any input would be appreciated. |

I do not live in the area, but I am a Founding Member of Team LSD & we have a good hilltop campsite above turn 10. Motorcycle riders with tents welcome.

By now all the chain motels are probably booked. The best thing to do is search for accomadations in an unaffiliated motel some where between Salinas and San Jose, along Hyw.101. |

That is something to consider, where exactly is Laguna Seca located? |

7 miles east of Monterey, CA., on CA Rte 68, in a large bowl, on a mountaintop overlooking the ocean.

PS: The welcome is conditional: Ya gotta be on a F with a tent outfit on the back. You have to be mentally & physically equipped to PARTY! No slackers! No other requirements. In case you were not sure the letters in TEAM LSD could stand for Laguna Seca Days. |

If I was still back in Phoenix, I could probably make it. From here, it would be more difficult. |

Pick up a AAA accomodation travel book and start calling. There are hundreds of hotels/motels in the Monterey area. 101 is pretty far from the "Party". Look at a good map of the area and then start your calling. There are quite a few little "cities" all along the coast north of Monterey. San Jose, where I live, is only 75 miles away but I think to far to drive back and forth for the whole race weekend so don't go that far, or even to Santa Cruz. Try and stay in Monterey or just north of town
