I bought this bike new as a left over in 1985, I was 18 years old. My mom had matched my saved money so I could buy my first car. This is what I came home with. This picture was taken a month ago before I started to restore her and get her back on the road. I'm glad I found this forum. Nice to know there are other people out there keeping these bikes alive!

Yea, I have the stock airbox. Just need to find a left side cover it. Saw a right on fleabay the other day for 10.00, so I'll keep looking. If anyone knows somewhere these can be had please let me know.

Do you mean the left side cover for the airbox or side cover for the bike, I have a airbox left side cover.

Hey Tedly the weather here for the past two days has seemed like fall. I'm havin chicken noodle soup for dinner, it's that cool. Yes I need a left side airbox cover. They're hard to come by now a days. If we could work out something it would be very much appreciated. Since your from here, we just had this nineteen year old crash his 1985 TA into the bridge at 675 south of Indian Ripple. He passed a state trooper on the median emergency side at over 100mph. We worked on him at the valley. Don't know now if he's gonna come through.

For those wondering, how to incorrectly run from the cops:

Sweet ride! An '82 right? I got a "leftover" '82 in '86 way cheap compared to new list. It got ripped off & stripped.Great to see you've had yours all these years!!

Yeap it's an 82. I think I paid 2900.00 out the door in 85. That kid in the video wasn't running from the cops. He had just been stopped by a Beavercreek cop. He was parked in a closed business parking lot with a 15 year old girl, an unopened container, trace amounts of pot. The cop wrote him citations and summons for court and released him. Then he takes off and does this.
