[you are all nuts] to be driving these old relics..Lets get you guys out shopping and buy some new bike!! .Today!..I am just heading out to do the same...
Let me know how it goes |
I just spent about six hours over the course of three days getting an abandoned Yamaha 50cc ring-ding street bike running and driveable. It has sat against a garage in Idaho for the last nine years, and was given to my in-laws by her youngest daughter. Her husband "hadn't gotten around" to having it hauled off to the dump. Father-In-Law helped with some of the mechanical work; and paid for gas, oil and miscellaneous parts.
I then watched my In-laws get on it, one at a time, and ride...for the FIRST MOTORCYCLE RIDE OF THEIR LIVES. They're getting VERY close to 70 years old, and both of them rode, both of them shifted gears, and both of them DIDN'T drop the bike or scrape skin on pavement. Neither one could stop smiling afterward.
They may never ride my 11F, but there's some hope! |

I'm not surprised that your Father-in-law did it seeing he's wearing an Anheuser-Busch shirt. Looks like he'd be a fun guy to have around sitting around the campfire with a bunch of cold ones telling stories. |
