Today my beloved red RMII was loaded into a trailer and is heading to Dallas to be with its blue older brother, RMI. I enjoyed this one for 7 years and now it's time for the new owner to have a blast with it. Am I sad? No, not really - this story played itself out and was fun. I have other bikes to enjoy and less clutter in the garage. Now to unload all the DOHC parts that I have no need for.
I guess one positive is that I won't annoy my neighbors with a VERY loud exhaust anymore. I loved that Chris Lee exhaust, but my neighbors won't miss it. I think the thing I'll miss the most (besides the awesome ride that it provided) was how it turned heads wherever I brought it. Building it was a lot of fun and great experience, too.
On to the next chapter. |
