Hi guys I've got a 97 CBR1100 Blackbird as my daily ride, never let me down, reliable, fast. But I might be able to swap it for a CB750f. On one hand my mind says don't offer to swap but on the other hand my mind says You know you love these bikes, contact the guy. I have a CB900f at the moment and have owned about 4 of them but never had a 750f. Value of bikes are similar, but not exact. What do you guys think?

Buy a 750F outright and keep the Blackbird

I have a 2001 XX and I would not trade it for ANY F ... I love the f series but my XX is exactly as you state... fast , comfortable, reliable and downright bad ass.
I'm with Greg... keep the XX and buy the 750 if you can.

I agree who knows, the Blackbird might be a collectors item when they are 40 years old. After all they were the fastest thing on two wheels when they first came out.

If you already have a 900F, I would not think the 750 would offered anything extra. I would just keep what you have.

That's what I'm thinking too.

100% agree with this. The 750 is a real nice bike-- but the 900 is a spectacular bike in comparison.

Keep the blackbird.
Swapping between my 81 750 and the blackbird made me realise how far bikes have come.
I've ridden my 06 blackbird to Canberra three times and I can't ever imagine taking my 750, even if restored to new condition.
Rode the blackbird to the border and back a couple of months ago. 3000km in four days. Would have a much tougher trip on a 750.

+1 The 900 is everything the 750 is and more. The blackbird is an exceptional bike, it would be foolish to trade down for the 750 IMO. Ed

I think the Blackbird is like a loyal quiet child that never asks for much and my CB900f is like a child that always needs attention so I've forgotten how good the Blackbird is until I could of swapped it for another attention seeking child. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

I have a 750F, 1100F, vf100F and a Blackbird. They are all VERY different bikes. If you are used to a Blackbird, a 750F will be a big disappointment.
