Hi guys, I have a spare CB900F motor that is secured to a wooden frame that has all the electrics and coils and regulator/rectifier etc plus carbs that runs really well. I just have to take the battery out of my bike anytime I want to start the spare motor. It's really handy to have a spare running motor to compare with the motor in your bike if you have mechanical or electrical issues. Has anyone else got a spare motor that runs or is it just to scavenge parts off. |

I have two functional R motors, though one does need a little work. It may get a captain closed chamber head some time soon
Only one bike though so not a big hurry |

My motor came out of a go cart, I wanted to buy the whole thing but the guy wanted to keep the chassis. I didn't even want the carbs but we had such a hard time trying to remove them with really hard carb boots he said just take the lot. And it came with wiring loom and ignition. I am going to swap over the clutch basket as mine is pretty rattly and it doesn't have hedder pipes so its pretty loud but at least I can see the ignition spark which is a nice blue color. |
