Engine Stand Control Box

Hi everyone,

Here is something for you engine builders. This control box will provide most of what you need to start and run your engine on a test stand. It will also help you evaluate the condition of all the electrical components that are installed in the engine including your starter, alternator, oil pressure and neutral senders.

To use this box, your engine must have its starter installed, the ignition pickup plate installed, a set of ignition coils connected to the spark plugs and the alternator installed (if you want to test it). Also the neutral switch and oil pressure switch need to be installed and hooked up to the pickup harness. Naturally, you need the carbs, fuel and exhaust hooked up as well.

The box has battery clamps to connect to a good battery, cable connections to the engine for starter, ground, alternator, coils and ignition pickups.

Inside the box is a new starter solenoid, a new regulator/rectifier, a pair of new Procomm ignition modules, an LED voltmeter and an analog ammeter.

Currently I am able to build one of these for you for $375. If you supply me with the ignition modules and reg/rec and you vouch for their good condition, then the cost is only $225.

Very nice. Would we install the igniters and rectifier ourselves or do you need them mailed to you?

This is a must-have if you build motors. Run the engine on a stand, check for leaks, make final tweeks, then install it. We used Peter's starter box to run my fresh 1123 motor and caught an issue BEFORE installing it. I'll never install another engine without running it on a stand first.
