Looonnng time rider. (lotta grey) A member here mentioned an 1100 restoration thread he'd done here and I had to have a look. Been an F fan since the SOHC Supersports. I currently have a '79 CBX in the garage. Sort of an F with extra cylinders. It shares space with another six (Valkyrie) and a <gulp> cafe '78 GL1000. I'll post a couple of shots when I get home from work. Yeah, surfing while working. Maybe they'll fire me.

For the most part, I'll just be quiet and snoop. Thanks for cracking the door...

Good stuff here. Although I'll be mostly a lurker, I have gone through a few of these old girls - both in decades past and in modern times. The current garage crew:

Uh oh. Looks like I need to make a few posts to be allowed attachments.

I really hate to do this, but I will go into moderate radio silence after this intro thread.

I actually went through a British bike phase with two Triumphs (original Meriden) and two Nortons. Nothing but Japanese since - and 90% Honda.

I've been wandering the great American West for the last four years on a '97 Valkyrie. Probably the best motorcycle I've ever owned.

Looks like five was NOT the magic number - unless I'm simply not smart enough to attach an image...which is certainly possible. Sorry for the spam - at least it's limited to a single thread. I actually do have a few compelling images to share that I suspect might interest a few folks - especially the CBX.

Last try on the photos. Sorry. No workie. The upload appears to complete, but the attachment is not made.

Carry on.

Sir, when writing a post, before you click submit, click the "Add an attachment" button, then use the browse button the navigate to your photo on your machine (correctly sized at 640x480, of course...). Once the photo is selected, click submit...

Also, if you click Edit on a post you've already made, you can add or subtract pics/text as desired on any post you've ever made.

Welcome to the site.

I apologize for the waste of bandwidth. Numerous other forums do have a minimum post count before allowing attachments. Mine were apparently too large and were not accepted.

I actually am thrilled to be here and monitor the traffic. I've already devoured tons of material and appreciate the collective experience on these magnificent F's.

Didn't I just see you over on NGW yesterday? Wink

Welcome! I can post some pics for you if that will help. Just send them too my tomk1960@yahoo.com email address and I'll put them in DropBox for a nice clean insertion here.

Ha! Indeed you did. In fact, your 1100F restoration is what drew me over here. I figured out the pic deal. This system doesn't automatically resize. Again, I apologize for the nonsensical posts to get to five. Sheesh. Wotta way to introduce myself.
