Do you have to rejet the carbs for this exhaust. I have never been good at this technical stuff so I'm hoping someone with more knowledge can shed light.
I would assume for max performance, you should rejet accordingly, but should see some gains just by bolting it on. I saw such improvement on my stock bike dyno graphs and I didn't change a thing. But don't quote me, just my guess.
Chris
According to one of our resident carb experts, re-jetting is not necessary if you keep the stock air box in place. If you pull the box and switch to pods, then all bets are off. Both my resto-mod (with Yosh racing exhaust) and my son's 1100F (Kerker 4-into-1) run wonderfully with stock carbs, stock jetting and air box.

Hate to sound impatient, but any estimate of shipping date for those of us on the left side of the pond?

Simon, does the UK Post have a drop ship setup in the USA? I am in Australia, and Australia Post has an arrangement called Shop Mate https://shopmate.auspost.com.au where you ship to 'your' USA address, and they then ship it home at a good rate. It works well for sellers who don't want the hassle of international postage.
Cheers,
Chris

Not that I know of mate, but I can look into it in about 2 weeks time.
I have a FedEx local depot not far from me, which might make it easier.

We both have been waiting over 2 years for this, it is not impatient at all.
I'm half way done test fitting, I had to take time off work last week to try to get everything ready to go. Probably need another week or so to finish packaging then I'll be ready to ship. Really appreciate everyone's patience. I can assure everyone we are within weeks to ship!

Ok first up is oil filter clearance pics.
Next up are clearance measurements. I figured since my tires are flat measuring from ground up would be pointless (but I did it anyways). so I measured from bottom of the frame down.
The cb1100F I have has 2.5 x 18'' (100/90) front and 3x17'' (130/90) rear, both flat.
Front shots
Collector shots both sides
Muffler shots top and rear, I moved it out a bit from the swingarm so it fits wider swingarms like my calfab and shawn's blackbird( I never got to this test the blackbird physically, but I did this purely through measurements, if you have a wider swingarm and want to know for sure msg me and I will get you detailed measurements)
I finished test fitting all the exhausts, was at the shop till 2am. Unfortunately I won't be in until next week sun or tues at the latest. I noticed a few marks from moving the exhausts around and some brushed finishes that were uneven (i'm being really nit picky). So I'm doing a once over to clean everything up before the final packaging.
I'm also am making a installation video as the tolerances are so tight that getting 4 pipes into the collector can be difficult if you don't align everything straight. I figured the best way is to show the tips and tricks for installation via a video as I'm narrating to explain. I'll be editing the video during my spare time at work this week.
<breath> ok! Let me know if you guys have any other questions!
Chris

Chris, if I were you, I'd post the video on YouTube when you're done. No point in spending money on memory sticks. If you don't have a spot to post it, I'll be happy to put it on my YouTube channel.
The pics look great!

You have done a masterful job on producing this pipe and it looks great overall. If I could provide one objective observation regarding how it mounts to the foot peg bracket? Is there room enough to rotate the can so the mount fits behind the bracket, I think that would look better aesthetically for a finished look.

Good question! Originally I wanted just that, but when I had to think about clearance of bigger swingarms, I ended up decided to make the mount on the outside, To make this more friendly for all types of swingarms and setups. When I get in on Tues, I'll give it a shot and see if it fits or not, my guess is it will torque the mid pipe quite a bit but it's a simple enough thing to try at least and see. I will report back Tues evening.

Outside mounting is a must for my builds with the modern CBR600RR swingarms. They're so wide that there's not much clearance between the arm and the rearsets. I actually have to mill out a little material on the backside of the rearset so that the mounting bolt is more recessed. But if the can could rotate enough for backside mounting it would be the best of all worlds for anyone planning to buy one of these beautiful exhausts.

I actually didn't make it to the shop in time before they closed. I was at school till 9pm and couldn't leave because I don't solidworks on my home computer yet. So I wasn't able to test rotating the can, but I was able to answer Nathan's question about the diameter of the headers where it seals the gasket.
I'm planning on heading in around 6am on sat and try to knock out packaging of at least 10 exhausts so they are ready to ship next week. I have work at 11am so i'll try to hustle to get it done.

Finally got to knock this out, just a quick and dirty video of a few tricks on installation. The camera was being fickle with focus, but I think the general idea is still conveyed.
(trying to figure out how to get the youtube link to work here as a embed preview)
Remove the s from the end of https.
The s is for secure, as in your own private collection of, in this case, YouTube video files.
One of the links from YouTube on the page for your video should have embed beside it.

Great video Chris! I'll add only one thing guys, BE SURE to wipe down all those pipes with a clean rag and brake clean or something. Start that puppy up without cleaning them well and you'll burn any dirt, grease or finge prints right on there! Everyone is super particular about that where I work. And there is nothing worse than to have that beautiful exhaust with a bunch of dark spots on it.

Quick update, I started to notice the brushed finish on the headers thou they look really nice by themselves, when you line up 4 of them, there was a slight variation in finish. So naturally I bought a polishing machine to do my own #4 brushed finished. I want the headers to look near equal when they are lined up. I know the color will change during use and I promise not to let this impede too much on time, but while I'm packaging I'm doing a once over on the headers on the machine then they go in the box completed. I just couldn't let these out of my hands until I knew I tried my best for an equal finish. I promise this is the last hurdle. Everything else is in motion!
I'll have more details in the next week.

Alright guys It's finally time!
I'm going to be ready to ship this sat, so I can start accepting orders this week. Because shipping cost will differ per person, I need you to email me here or at cleeguy@gmail.com with your address so I can tell you how much shipping is going to be. My cut off will be Thurs for those to be shipped this week. I'll personally email you back by thurs evening and you can send money then. I figured this was best, instead of me collecting money for the exhaust, and then asking another amount of the shipping in a few days.
For Paypal: Please add this note "Cb-F exhaust group buy" so I can tell Paypal it's not income and just cost of materials.
Here is the list I had:
Rick
Tom
N8n8n8
Jcooper
Cliff
Hondo57
Hondaron
Diablita
Simon_cb900
Geepster 99
Bone
Zealous
swieland
Jonathan
Quick recap: How to Order:
1) Email (cleeguy@gmail.com) or msg me here with your full name and address.
2) I will email you back when I have final shipping costs.
3) Send money via paypal thurs, and it will ship this weekend.
That's it! Can't wait to see this out in the world and on bikes! I seriously can't begin to express my gratitude for everyone's patience. Thanks for sticking by me.
Chris

Replied to all emails, thanks guys!
Also, I am going to make insurance mandatory for piece of mind on both our ends. I was test inputting claims and it was around $10 for insurance. I'll have a cost break down in the final email going out to those who have contacted me.
Thanks again everyone!
Chris

Email sent Chris. I have used a drop-ship address in Portland Oregon run through the Australian postal service. Saves you hassle with international shipping, and they are competitive with their shipping rates they charge me.
Regards,
Chris
