Captain, you are certainly eaten up with the obsession. Keep it up, love it.
By the way for comparison, never weighed one myself, what does your standard 520 weigh? |

At this point I imagine it's hard to remove weight in big chunks. You just lost 1.6 pounds! Wow. What is the bike down to now? |

Pins, rollers and bushings are made from an abrasion resistant tool steel ..... will last as long as an O-ring chain. No O-ring should also result in less friction .... |

You sir, are being very very kind. Those women are 400+ each, at least.
But realize, just because you bleach your eyes...that image is still burned onto the cones and rods in your eyes and into your memory. So, for the sake of organ donation, don't bleach your eyes.
Titanium chain...

Right |
I had a response relative to this before but the site crashed right before I tried to post it...
There is less angular acceleration loss (from mass changing direction), which is obviously better with lower mass chain, the total lower mass also lowers the inertia and so requires less kinetic energy to accelerate it (lower mass flywheel effect), and there's a slight improvement in unsprung weight.
Other than cost, a big win. |

I think the title change tells the story, Jim. Not to put words in Brent's mouth, but it seems he didn't want his rather nice discussion of extreme parts development diluted with a bunch of jokes.

I can appreciate light banter the same as most but in this instance I was posting about something tech that none of you would have "never/ever"seen before. I thought that it was an very interesting industry development and that information about would be lacking and consequently the forum maybe interested. I was obviously mistaken. As it quickly turned into a discussion about "heavies" sitting on a motorcycle which has debased any future value in pursuing of the original subject matter. That's fine and I'm not concerned about it as not everyone thinks alike but in this instance I'm obviously wasting my time.
Consequently I have withdrawn all my posts and will leave the thread and any further discussion on the subject.
