Let's keep Jim (JJam) in our thoughts and prayers since he just had brain surgery yesterday. Does anyone know how he's doing? |

I was thinking about Jim yesterday and hoping that everything went smoothly. He was a bit nervous about it, but it sounded like it wasn't going to be too bad of a procedure. I'll call his shop phone today and leave a message asking for an update. Maybe his wife will be checking messages for him while he recovers. |

He's alive and kicking so it appears that the surgery went well. That's the first step taken on the road back and the best one.
No doubt he will pop up when he is ready to face the world again.

Hi everyone. Thank you for the kind thoughts.
I'm ok and I guess that it went well. I felt like they took a shovel to my face yesterday but it feels much better now.
I had a large tumor/cyst thing on my puitary gland. Still don't have the tests back but they don't believe that it was cancer. For that I'm grateful.
They went through my nose so it hurt fairly good. Bleeds like a stuck pig but I'll live.
The worst thing about this is I'm not supposed to work for another week or so? I hope to be back home tomorrow.

Great news Jim - glad it went well and you're feeling less pain. Take the week off and rest - you'll regret it if you go back too soon. Surgery takes a lot out of you - more than most people realize until they try resuming normal activities too soon. Then *WHAM*, it hits them.

Glad it worked out Jim. When you said they went through your nose it reminded me of that scene from 'Total Recall' where Arny pulled the tracking device thing out through his nose. Ouch!

Wow, sorry to hear all that. Hope you recover well and soon.
Be careful with the recovery, the anesthesia recovery can be a bitch, and really throw you for a loop. |

Wow, sorry to hear you had to go through this but glad to hear it went well and you are doing better. Listen to those doctors and make sure you are rested up before getting back to work. You come first on this sort of thing.
