Opinions on cycle x charging system

Hey, anyone out there have a cycle x high performance charging system for the dohc? And/or what's the general concensus about them?

When I decided to build my SOHC I used plenty of parts from Cycle X and I was pleased with all of them. The owner Ken is a stand up guy who is more than willing to get on the phone and talk tech with you if you have any problems. I don't have any experience with the DOHC products but I would expect the same level of quality I got from the SOHC stuff.

Smoojee - I saw you comment in another thread that you ended up trying the charging system and like it. That still the case?

Looks like it's a permanent magnet rotor? How are the street manners with the lighter rotating mass?

Any idea what the max output is? I've found a few old threads discussing the original version (current version seems to be the 2nd revision), and a common concern seemed to be that output was actually less than that of the stock system.

So far it’s great, I haven’t had any issues with it. I have a digital speedo with a built in voltmeter and it seems to keep the battery at about 13.5-14 volts.

How/where did you mount the regulator for this system? I'm concerned that it's going to bake in the stock regulator location with very little airflow in that area.
