Good thread here:

http://www.cb1100f.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=331655#331655

Going by the info there, the CDN speedo cable should be 40" in length. It impart # 44830-MG5-610 which was superseded by 44830-MJ1-000 and both are available in the US for about $20 (at Partzilla).

I'll check and see if I have an old US 1100f speedo cable to measure.

Thanks. Based on the info Tony provided, it looks like I need the CDN 1100F speedo cable even though my bike will be a bit shorter due to the 900 frame. Better to have one a little longer than shorter, or at least that's what she said last night Wink

Went and measured some actual Honda speedo cables (all had Honda part numbers on them and everything in mm):

44830-MG5-670      988          US 1100f, superseded by 44830-MB9-780 (still available from Honda)
44830-MC9-770     1015         supersedes 44830-MG5-610 (CDN 1100f), superseded by 44830-MJ1-000
44830-MJ1-000      1015         still available from Honda
44830-MG1-000     1132         CB1000C, NLA

Rick - I sent you an email re: cable length. My 900 cable seems to work for length and I measured it to be 965 mm, but I wasn't able to lift the front end to measure the bike with forks fully extended. The Euro 1100F cable is 2 inches longer so is probably the safe bet in the long term.

Like she said....
