Nice, not having ever seen a set of used cams that weren't below the lobe height service limit, I think you made a wise decision. |

All my cam lobes were worn below the service limit, Most just barely. The kicker was one lobe on the exhaust cam was down .5mm below the service limit. Just didnt make sense to rebuild the engine and run bagged cams. |

What is the difference in price between the Megacycle and the Web cams . Is Megacycle 138-30 a little more aggressive a grind than the Web 118 grind . |

Megacycle cams used to cost a bit more, last price I had was $698 for a set of 138-30 cams in 2008 when Web 118s were more like $600. Now that Web camshafts are $700, I'm not sure if the Megacycle cams went up.
Best to call Megacycle in San Rafael @ 415 472-3195 |

A little more lift .375" vs .365 and a few more $$$ for the Megacycle. Durations are 257° (measured at 0.040" for Megacycle) and 245° (measured at 0.050" for Webcam), if I could normalize these I would not need CBX-tras to put the engine together for me.
Some numbers (lift, duration, and lobe centers)
Megacycle 138-30 (duration at 0.040")
.375" 257° 107.5° 21 btc/56 abc
.375" 257° 107.5° 56 bbc/21 atc
Webcam #118 (duration at 0.050")
.365 245° 105°
.365 245° 105° |

I really want a set of those.....hopefully next winter.
For comparison sake, what are the stock 1100 duration and lift specs? I tried finding it in the manual, but I'm guessing I'm missing it.

The manual doesn't list lift that I can find but duration on both intake and exhaust cams is 230 degrees @ 1mm lift. |

Not in the book. There are some open and close numbers in the specs, but not lift. The numbers suggest the duration (at 1mm lift) to be 230°.
Megacycle says stock 1100 cams are .355" to .359" and a little over 230° (232° to 234°) at .040", I assume these are measured data... |

The book gives us the total lobe height number, just subtract the base circle dimetion from it. I thought it was around .345" but it's been a while since I looked at them so I could be wrong. |
