2017 Winter NE Non-Ride

I've spoken with a few of the guys that come on the NE rides and we all agreed that it would be nice to get together in January for breakfast or even more. There's a great diner right off the highway in Albany that might be convenient for the majority of the guys. I'm hoping that most won't have more than a 2-2.5 hr drive no matter where they're coming from.

Who's interested? A proposed date would be Sunday, January 15th. This date can be adjusted in order to accommodate everyone that's interested.

Watertown - Albany: 174 miles, 3 hours 10 min.

Sounds like a good time, as usual!

226mi. Trying to buy a house in Jan so maybe I can get all my bike parts in one location! Wish I could go.

Car pool, pick up nugget at the Manchester Thruway exit and then meet my son and I at the Weedsport exit and then its an easy drive to Albany.

If early February works better for more people, the date is flexible. We can nail it down as we get closer. If the closest person rides a bike to the diner, then we can call it an actual winter "ride." Cool

I vote Sunday the 29th. That way I can drive out to see family in Albany on Saturday night and not have such an early morning Sunday.

The 29th works for me as long as the majority can make it. We'll be meeting at the Capital City Diner - 1709 Western Ave in Albany. It's right off the highway and easy to find.

Alright, you strong-armed me - 1/29 it is. I have a 2 hour drive, so 10am or 11am is good for me. Doc has a longer ride, so we should let the guys like him pick the time.

I have a 3 and a half hour drive home afterward too...so I'd vote for a 10AM meetup depending on what activities are scheduled.

So it will be 10am next Sunday the 29th. I need a head count soon so that we can have the diner have a table or two reserved for us. Please let me know no later than this coming Wednesday.
