No worries..Nice to see the problem solving. I plan on having a Z3RO exhaust when it is tested and ready and I am willing to wait for the time it takes.
The video doesn't have to be a big deal. A couple passes if there is time for you

Any consideration of a 750F application?

I can, but I would need to borrow a 750F, and there would have to be a big list of people interested. Otherwise I have to make it a one size fits all F exhaust. Check out the pics below and let me know if you think it would hang too low on a 750.
Here is how tight the bottom clearance is.
Here is how close it is to the oil pan.

So the height difference between a 750 and 9/11 is how much? About 1/4 inch, right? Maybe your set up would already be a one-size fits all...

from what I remember reading, it is around 1/4'', but i'm sure someone here knows for sure. Adding 1/4'' shouldn't be too bad, but only way i can test for sure is if someone with a 750F near irwindale would be willing to bring it down, and I can install the prototype on and take some measurements and pics.

The difference is 10mm. I plan on using mine initially on a 750 engine and would never again buy a 750 specific exhaust since it kills the option to install a larger engine.

Tooling and dies for the header pipe and mid pipe has been ordered. 3-4 week delivery time...
Was about to order the tooling/ dies for the pressed cap piece, but it was really expensive. So I sat down to think of different approaches.
1) Buy tooling/dies for press to make a single double rounded cap out of SS, this along with welding the baffle together and setting up the whole thing is really pricey.
2) Buy a solid piece of 3.5'' SS steel tube and lathe the cap by hand, fillet the ends, step fit into 3.5'' can
3) Buy a piece of aluminum tubing 3.5'' OD, 2'' ID and lathe the cap, fillet the ends, step fit into the 3.5'' can.
4) CNC design an aluminum end cap with 2 threaded holes to step fit into the can.
So I took a few days to focus on learning some basics of 3D cad. This what I came up with.
No option is off the table yet, I just want it to look good, so since we have a few weeks, I get figure this last part out. I really like the CNC end cap piece because it finishes off the exhaust nicely. It's only going to stick out 1/2'' not a lot, but it adds a classy touch to it than how I had it before. It kinda bothered me that there would be an aluminum end cap on a SS can...but I saw it in person and it looks really nice to me. Still on track timeline wise, even with the 3-4 week wait period for the tooling. Share your thoughts on having a CNC machined aluminum end cap.
*I'll try to take a picture of the current cap I have now, and the ideas I had so you guys can visualize it as well.

Looking Good!
I guess with aluminum the best bet would be stainless screws if the baffle / end cap is to be removable?

yup, SS screws to hold it in, everything is still removable so you can repack the baffle as you please.

Updates will be slow for the next few weeks, as I'm just waiting on the tooling/dies to come in.
With the CNC end cap idea, it actually brought the cost of the entire baffle down to a reasonable amount. So I'm leaning toward this way as of now.

Are you going to have a Z3RO plate on the pipe or leave it bare? Advertising you know..

Glad everyone likes the CNC cap!
I pseudo started a company so that I can brand the exhaust. It's going to be Chris Lee Design. My logo is my avatar.
You can goto chrislee.design to check out my website, but it's not fully up yet, just a splash page.
I plan on laser etching chris lee design + logo somewhere on the side of the can, something minimalist-ish, I don't want a big blaring logo plastered. I want it to be subtle, something you gotta look real close for. Also on the end cap, like how yoshimura does it on some of their really old exhausts. They have yoshimura over the top of the end cap, and japanese katakana on the bottom, so something of that effect.
Edit: I want to change my forum name to ChrisLee.Design soon, but wanted to make sure people knew it was me before doing so. This could be my mini announcement? haha

Could not find the page, Chris.
I think a subtle logo is a good idea.
The "wow" factor should come from the performance, sound and look of the pipe itself.

I agree!
There's no .com at the end of it, it's just , ChrisLee.Design
.Design is the domain name.

I'd register chrisleedesign.com too, most of the internet is not ready for funky domain names yet and will think it is a typo. Then you can just redirect to whatever domain name you want.

Most of the .com's are taken already, so I settled with .design. I know it's weird but It'll have to do for now.
