| Outside of the obvious bolting on of a plethora of pretty and functional parts, can you tell us about any fabrication work that was done by you (or outsourced)? |
Done by me: CBR900RR swingarm conversion with spacers and mounts to work with the Ducati 749 Marchesini wheels. Custom fixturing and bracketry for cross mounted steering damper. All the custom bracketry for the oil cooler, number plate mount, the Carbon fiber number plate itself, headlight brow / bezel. Front wheel spacers. Brackets on frame for dzus fittings. The triple clamps are built to my specification (had victorpeters help with the solid works), and used Zanzani in Italy to manufacture them which I will be using on all my future builds. Worked with JayGUI exhaust to finalize the design of the upsweep and angle and size of the silencer and mid pipe for this and future CB-F's.
There is "bolt on", but then there is bolt on to ensure that everything is selected and designed to work together in a fashion that will optimize handling and not compromise safety or integrity. The bike is currently setup with 95mm of trail, and was the target I was shoot for.
The only thing I did not have my hands on or responsible for was the paint work of the bodywork. Everything else I did including the engine work. One other thing I added to this bike is a keyless key fob ignition, with proximity sensor. |

Spectacular!
Hopefully the new owner joins the site. It would be great to hear some follow-up report/pics.
Darren, do you have a pic of the bike on the side stand or in motion?
Just wanted to see the stance without the lift. |
I'll ride it if you want in motion pictures. I promise I'll lean over with no regard for life or limb!

That is so cool, Darren.
You were rightfully proud of how the bike turned out, this is an added bonus. |

That's really cool Darren, you should be proud of your builds. Pure eye candy and functional too.
Maybe you should invite Freddie to Ottawa for a cup of tea...Red Rose of course!
I follow him on instagram, he posts some pretty cool stuff.
All the Best in 2017 my friend!
