Before i turned my F into a Streetfighter i had a replica R tank on. Because i also had the USD forks i had less space so ik had to drag the tank a bit backwards. Because i ad the side panels on the bike too i had to modify the tank a bit.
Later when i started the single sided arm i decided to go radical and turned it into what she is now. See the pic i added Smile

More information about this tank and tail section. I love the way it looks.

Also, any idea where to get a replica R tank?

I think 6 or 7 years ago both Fasterspider and Powerroy used R tanks on their F.
Probably info in the archives.

I saw a pic of Roy's looking through old threads but none of fasterspider's pics will come up.

I have fasterspider's R replica and it does have an R tail.

Here's a picture of my 750 with an authentic R tank and there is a noticeable gap.

Thanks Cary. I finally found a pic of fasterspider's bike (sweet!). Black is definitely the color I would go with if I used all R bodywork (Tdem's, fasterspider's). My issue with it is it looks kinda fat in the back and while this is usually a good thing, on motorcycles I am not fond of it. Black really is a slimming color. Laughing

Well if you're going to use all R bodywork, then I will chime in. It can be done easily, just need to create some new mounts for the R tail section. The R tank mounts get relocated, but only slightly. I think the front mounts moves up and back and the rear bolt gets moved forward a little bit. Don't have any pictures of the mounts being moved, but here it is in all black.
