That's too funny. Looks like a snug fit though. I suppose if you sit facing the taillight everything is fine. |

Good eye sir. Welcome to the site! Nice to see people from Mooresville area, I used to work there and live in Harrisburg. |

I humbly submit that the picture of "Simples" new 900 build be used for a new pic. The first one after his road test... |

I would have said something but my bookmark takes me to the new posts so I never seem to visit the home page.
+1 on the eagle eye but still a nice bike. Isn't this what Photoshop is for? |

Yeah, and put some air in that front tire....
Oh, and changing pic more than once every 3 years would be cool too! |

"perfectly stock" ? I knew something was wrong.
there's more ! the tail cowl lays (slopes) too much
and other body work pieces don't seem to align.
otherwise, VERY nice job ! |

Guys,
It's a fair cop - the seat cover isn't stock but came with the bike and was just too good condition to replace.
In my defence I never said the bike was exactly stock but admittedly didn't shout when I saw the caption on the screen!.
I aimed to get the bike back as near stock as practical and the bodywork is all original as far as I know so fit / lines may be just a bit of wear or where I'd put her together quickly to shove outside for photos.
Apart from the seat cover, the exhaust is Marving - although I've got the original pipes in 'reasonable' condition they suddenly looked really shabby against all the new paint and polish.
It's been great having the bike on the homepage but I know there are so many other great bikes I've seen on this site already and surely lots more still to be 'exposed' so I agree refreshing the home page image regularly would be good. However, it would surely be best to have a long, drawn-out selection process to make sure the right one gets picked and in the meantime I'm very happy to have mine on the homepage!
I'll say again how good this site is for anything (and I mean anything) related to these bikes - the knowledge and helpfulness here is unbelievable. I'm currently wrestling with a GSX1100EZ (GS1100E in the US) which I came across in very original condition and it's been so much harder to get any information at all on this compared to the CB.
Cheers,
Andy |
