small and fat block Chevies and even 50 ft. Cigarette boats for all the
car dealership owners in the Metroplex area. Our specialty tho was
American Motors (AMC) cars, mainly '69-70 AMX two seaters like
Corvette. Most people thought if we could make those run we could
make anything run. We ran a bracket AMX in the mid '70s that would
bust off high 9's at 139-140 mph. My younger brother was president
of the Texas Pro Stock association for awhile and we toured a match
race 720 cubic inch bigblock Camaro that ran over 200 mph on nitrous.

Big sci-fi fan, as well as enjoying any high speed motorized wheeled vehicle. Back in the younger wilder days, used to refer to high speed shananigans in warp units, i.e. 10mph over the legal limit was Warp 10, twenty over was Warp 20; you get the idea. This was in the bad old era of the 55mph speed limit, and enforcement was, ummm, "enthusiastic". Remember? Now moms in Saturn Vue's pound down I-91 at 80+mph! Some things really are better today!

Of course, there are a few ex-girlfriends out there who would say "warped" pretty much sums me up. But in my defense, they were willing participants, and I have the pictures to prove it! Shocked

What do you think "Bisexualbritney"s name is all about? Anyone?

As a teenager I used to work as an office boy in the mail room of a newspaper, and the boss could never remember my name (which is Trevor). He constantly referred to me as "Terry" no matter how many times I'd correct him. Pretty soon everyone else was calling me Terry, too! This became shortened to Tel, which is a British abbreviation for Terry. Twenty five years later I still work for that newspaper, and I'm still known as Tel.

One race at Atlanta the bike spun,hooked-up,and shot me straight across the track into the concrete wall. I went over the wall and rolled into the camera man/track photographer. I needed a name no one else would have, hence sonicrete.

Aha! Now I know...

Very interesting thread, the most interesting one I think I have ever read. Let's do another one like it. Smile My username is simply my name because at my age you can't remember all the $#@&*! passwords and such that you've used on this and that site or service. Smile No, no relation to the late president -- you would not believe how many times I am asked that... Laughing

Don't want to presure you to giving away your secret location but where is "JUst north of the windmills"? Is that in cali with all of those windmils, or Holland? If it's Holland then I think I will call you Don Quixote from now on. If I am remembering my literature correctly that is.

The only windmill farm I have seen is indeed in CA. Altamont Pass, on the way to the San Juaqum Valley from the SF BayArea.

No secret. Where Hwy 62 joins I-10 near Palm Springs. Just think it's rather poetic, and where else than in California would people take having all these wind generators it so calmly. Smile

Ahhh...Palm Springs...last time I was in Palm Springs, I spent six bucks on a beer and didn't even get to finish it before I realized that I wasn't really even welcome in that town. Shocked If you don't have a whole pocket full of money, and a couple of Emmys or Oscars to your credit, you might as well move along and find another place to hang out. Rolling Eyes Laughing Their tax base in Palm Springs is definitely not based on what us Jarheads from 29 Stumps spent there. roflmao roflmao

No...no, I don't think I want to contribute to you mayoral campaign Mr. Bono...but thanks for asking.... Rolling Eyes

I don't live in Palm Springs, nobody does. Shocked I work somewhat near it though, and yes, a lot of rich folks. We call them Palm Springs Brats! People that come to pick their bikes up after having them worked on and buy a $3000 trailer from us to take it home on. Mind you that's a nice compensation, but... they all want it now, right now, not tomorrow. The Marine base is close to where I live. Was there last week in fact. Smile

Was this in 1992? My newborn daughter was also in Neonatal ICU in 92, but not for as long as yours. Nine months! Unbelievable! What a blessing to have come out of that experience! Cool

RX is the shorthand for prescription; as in medical. 211 is the number assigned by the medical community for cocaine.....
Survived that and more...
Plus the job requires a random pee test...... crap..... Smile

My name is Britni and I am Bisexual. I love girls and guys. Was anyone at a loss to figure this one out? LOL

BisexualBritni was the name I made over 300 movies under. So, even if I dont use it, people know the name and apply it to me no matter what I do.

Wow, one long thread, I think I've been reading it for an hour. Mines simple, it's what I wanted for a personalized plate for my 82 CBX, but was to cheap to pay for.
Ain't it cool we got a movie star posting here, how about posting some pic's Britni?

Her gallery has been in the Coppermine for almost 2 years. Not only is she very easy on the eye herself, her bike with the carbon fiber wheels and (if I remember right) Gixxer swingarm was one of the earliest ones with substantially updated rolling stock.

Both are a joy to see. Maybe it's called the Coppermine because you never know what treasures you'll dig up. Wink

Ok, since I'm in this thread.......

My last name is Gudermuth. I've been called Guder since around kindergarten. Rhymes with hooter.
