Hello there
I have a 1981 CB900
I need to replace the fuel tank rubber mounts.
I can find the front two no worries, but I can't find the rear mount that the bolt goes through. Anyone know where I can buy one

I would try a junk yard. All of them are the same,just the 900 and 1100 have different numbers because one is solid the other is hollow up inside. |

We don't have junk yards out here as such, I only know of one in Melb and they wouldn't have anything 30 years old out there, they only keep newer stuff they can keep moving on and besides "F's" are rare out here |

Thanks heaps for the replys, my tank may have been on and off too many times cause mine has torn through where the bolt and washer goes

They just get old and fall to bits. Most of the ones on my bikes are falling to bits.
I won't be parting with any MB7 ones though, only 438 parts. That 18 gram weight saving is nothing to be sneezed at. |

Good luck with your search. I recently posted a similar thread when I couldn't find one. Many suggestions for suppliers were given. All of them I checked came back discontinued. Eventually I got one with help from member TigreST in Canada. Apparently there is a Canadian supplier that stocks them. |

Guys- this part is not hard to find at all. David Silver usually has them at $16.70 plus shipping, CMS.NL has them in stock at 12 Euros plus shipping. You just gotta pay. |

I think these are likely to go discontinued in Australia as Honda list them as ex Japan with greater than 6 week lead time. |

Which is still available and in local stock?
This is the usual pattern of parts going discontinued.
When Honda said the 1100 main tensioners had gone to back order with no fixed delivery date I bought the last ones honda Australia had.
Same seems to have happened with the top tensioner - Japan back order with no delivery date.
I just wish they would start making speedos and tachos again (like the right switches). |

I all ready ordered all my caliper kits genuine Honda, a couple of dollars more than that web site but cheaper than after market on ebay
