Hello all,

I just bought a CB750F last night. Hopefully I can learn a lot here. I'm from Newfoundland, Canada, and I'm a Kawasaki KZ guy. I have a highly modded 1977 KZ650. Hoping the CB will make a good addition to the family. Being an old motorcycle guy already I've ordered the pre-requisite maintenance things, and I'll do all the tune up stuff shortly. I was glad to see the CB uses the same oil filter as my KZ, makes things easier haha.

My plans for the CB are pretty modest. I'm going to keep her as stock as I can I think. First task is to get her back in tip top shape, which I'll be doing over the summer. Hopefully I wont drive you guys too nuts with questions.

Thanks
T_Dub

Oh, here's a pic of the bike.

Nice find! You have a really nice looking starting bike. Welcome to the forum! Lots of awesome people on here and great mod ideas.

Just don't post about putting pods on the stock carbs. That battle will take over any post. (sarcasm)

Psst... I'm running pods and love em'.

Haha I have pods on the KZ. The debate is not new to the Kawi world either. I wont be putting them on the CB unless I get manual slide carbs.

Here's my one true love. Side covers were still in paint in this pic, and a new muffler is on the way. But you'll get the idea.

Agreed. Stocker and pods have their issues, and I'll be getting some CR's the winter, but.... Dammit! I like the way they look instead of some big plastic suckbox! Laughing

KZ looks badass by the way.

Thanks guys. My wallet's already pretty drained from the KZ build. I'm going to bring this one back to fully stock and keep it that way. Its in too good condition to start hacking it up.

Hey T-Dub I may be heading through St. John next weekend. I have a class up in PEI and was thinking of heading back via Rte 1 for a change of scenery. I'll let you know when the trip gets closer.

Enjoy the F!

Sorry, I'm in St. John's, not St. John haha. St. John's is out on the edge of some island in the atlantic. I'm actually heading down to maine in a month or two though. Us Kawi KZ guys have a North American Relay Ride going on, I'm the last leg of the east coast run.
