It wasn't a big show. A lot of bikes didn't show up because of rain overnight and early morning, but it ended up being pretty nice that day. A little over 20 bikes showed up.

They didn't have any classes, it was just a car and bike show where all the vehicles were judged by the people. Mine was the oldest bike there, and only one of two sport bikes (and by that I mean not cruiser). The other bike was a Suzuki SV1000.

I got stuck parked in between a bunch of Harley's.
The Harley guys razzed me pretty good when I showed up asking if my bike was a 250 four cylinder and they all laughed. I forget what else they said.
So it was pretty funny to me when I came in second place.

I have never even put my bike in a show before, I just did it to support a good cause for a local non-profit organization.

It turns out that ALOT of people really loved the old Import bikes and it reminds them of their younger years.

One guy I talked to has a 1981 CBX he was considering selling for $6000, but I don't have that $$$. He rode in on a 1986 BMW ?, but he didn't enter the show. He bought it brand new in 1986 and it had 55,000 miles on it.

I should have got pictures, but I didn't think about it.

went back in the afternoon to sign the bike up but was 15 minutes late and they would not let me register Crying or Very sad

One of the main guys(who had a HD Road King, and he won first place) that put on the show told the other HD guys that I probably bought my whole bike for what one of their monthly payments were. He was actually a super nice guy and we talked for awhile about his 1983 Honda Magna V45 that he had years ago. It really is alot of fun even with the Harley guys because they (like me) couldn't afford a Harley when they were younger so they bought these types of bikes.

Another guy was telling me about his CB650 and I had one before I bought this bike. I really enjoy these vintage bikes... I think that is also why people voted for me. I was willing to talk about any bikes and I don't discriminate on what people ride, in fact, I enjoy learning about any kind of bike.

Well done. It's a good feeling to be a winner. Honestly, I believe the F styling is one of the best. It is a very nice looking bike, with tank, side covers and tailpiece all flowing into one another. beerchug

Oh yeah, I guess I could have posted a pic of the bike at least. Here is what it looked like right after I washed it a few days before the show:

Nice Job! I also took a second place at the indoor bike show in Feb. I joined the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group so I could enter my bike in with their display. My bike was in the post 1966 catagory, I lost out to another members 1966 perfectly restored Honda 450.
Actually, I didn't expect to win anything, but the best part was the winners plaque presentation....
