I'm trying to find a big bore kit for a 1983 CB1100F. Can anyone point me in the direction of a company? What's the biggest kit you know of? |

Welcome aboard Mr Hippie.
Direct from Wiseco if you are a dealer
Dynoman "can" be difficult to deal with at times so would keep that in the back of your mind during the purchase phase. |

Worlds best way to ruin an engine is to have "fred's machine shop" down the street bore a cylinder. If you went in and ask them to make a hole .004" out of round or .005" taper they could not do it. Since I have seen cylinders just this much out I do not know how it was done.
APE did "big blocks" for these and others. They have the equipment and do good work. They are a Wiseco distributor and give a deal on bore kits and the work done. Much better to pack it up and send it off to a good shop than get it fucked up by someone local. Fast by Gast in New York and MTC in Florida also are good machine shops specializing in bike work. |

I use APE for that kind of stuff, since they are kind of local. They used to be local when they were in Burbank for years, and it's a bummer for me that they moved, but they like it.
If you buy the kit from them, they give like a $100 discount I think on the boring and they do it right. They don't ever need to apologize for their work. |
