I THINK THE GUY FROM holland can do even better prices than what i offer so there you go

For frame of reference: The Sport Control Kit for a 1982 CB-750F Honda part #08138-44501 , which includes everything you have stated above went for $103.21usd approx. when available back in the day. This according to Power Sport Pro's Honda parts fiche. I had a 750 kit installed on my own 750F and it was around $260.00 or so Canadian back in 1982. The value of the NOS kit is whatever the market will hold. For a totally complete NOS kit that 550 number may not be a bad price. To piece one together it might run to somewhere near that number, if NOS pieces are to be had. In retro spec the Honda kit was a bargain at the time,..but we may have not known it.

My sport kit cost about $150 US back in 1981, direct from Honda with a "good guy" discount from the parts counter guy at Honda of North Hollywood.

New is new. Put it this way, if it were $400 it would be a steal. Lots of people would be all over that in 2 seconds. If it were $600, I'd say he wouldnt sell it. $550 may be the very upper range of what its worth but still, new is new and show me another new kit for sale. If you could knock it down a hair so much the better.

Are you going to put it on the bike or keep it in the box? If you put it on the bike is it important to have NOS condition? If it is then only you can decide what you want to pay for that. Otherwise there are 'used' versions out there.

If you pay the premium for this particular set and put it on the bike that is the last time it will be worth that much. It will de-value immediately after first ride and quickly.

Sportkit sets can be found. They are not unobtanium like some things. You know what they sold for back in the day when they were new. You know what you would have to pay now to get a used set. The price you're discussing feels to high to me based on the fact that the parts that make up the set can be found. Unless you have to have NOS.

Why are you looking at a 900F sportkit? Thought you had an 11F?
