here is a before and after shot of my respray,the shot of the bike against the house is the before.all that is left to do now is the decals a new seat and the fairing needs to be painted.

AHHH, NICE PAINT JOB!!!! (But I may be biased)
just have to go check the shop, and make sure this is still there, I plan on riding it this AM..
BTW if our going to decal it, I clearcoated mine afterwards, makes the decals look really good...

Looks great man. Was it a shop that did this for you? What did you use for teh frame? I am starting to like the frame to be accented with the same color as the bodywork.

The non-US spec F2's came with the frame painted red.

2Bob,

Very nice job!!! Is that the bike you had the Brake Calipers Powder coated for? How did that turn out when putting the brakes back together? Any issues/problems?

True. But I think he woulda repainted it too. Or am I wrong?

I love the fairing. You should put F2 decals on it IMHO. Mr. Green

This is my own work Ive had experiance with paint and body work"Thankfully" as I would not be able to justify spending money on paint work ,my wife would tell me its the bike or her.

I took her out {the Bike} for a run today and when i got home I put her back in the garage and noticed that break fluid had been leaking from the master cylinder on to the tank....BUMMMER so may have too strip it back and repaint and Im going to have to rebuild the mastercylinder. also the front end keeps bottoming out so that will need attension as well.
other than that it runs Great goes real hard.

any body know of a good front end solution what type of spring you know General set up.

The frame is standard red but i have not repainted that yet as I want to get some use out of it this summer may be next winter i will spray the frame?

The paint is accrylic with a clear lacquer and I havent got the decals as yet,there $168.00 alot of money for 4 stickers Im better off spending the money getting the mechanicals up to scratch first I think

I havent had the break calpers powder coated I just sprayed them with Hi temp paint seems to do the job but i have now decided to change there color.

Mine did the same exact thing. Parked it in the garage, came out the next morning to a ruined paint job. Evil or Very Mad

Those plastic MC resevoires are EVIL as hell when it comes to a nice new paint job. I was almost sick when I saw what it did.

I know one thing. I will be changing to a soild style resevoir befor I do the paint again. I don't have a wife yet. (bonus for the bike's sake)
So I will be getting a new compressor when I can and a nice spray gun setup. I will use nice paint next time. The last one looked great for about a week. Rattle can just does not hold up at all. Even with several clear coats. Don't have any post Master cylinder pee pics, but the one in my signature is my bike fresh after paint.

2Bob,
I had my decals made at a local shop (Trimline), they do automotive pinstriping, vinyl lettering & alike.
They could take the files I made up on the computer, or they could have use oned of their own fonts.
Either way, my cost was about 30 cdn dollars to have ALL the decals made. EDIT--(By all I mean the "honda" and "supersport" on the fairing, and all the verbage on the side covers) (actually I now remember now, I got an extra set of everything done as well, just in case... so I also have "supersport" written on the top of my tailpiece)--EDIT
I phoned them , then emailed my files with some sizing info, they did some voodoo, and I picked up my decals the next day.
Do they look just like OEM? No, but they do look pretty good, I could have them the next day, and the price was right for my non-concours bike.
Maybe this way you can keep both Smile

Hey thats a Bloody Good Idea,Never thought of that.Might Bop on down to my local Auto repair shop and find out if theres some one local who does that sort of thing,Thanks for the info. 2Bob
