I picked up this bike back in August for $50.00. It had been sitting under a tarp in someones back yard for 10 years and I thought it would be a good learning experience to get it back on the road.
I can't believe I was sucessful without using this site. I just stumbled onto it today. What an invaluable pooling of information!!
I'm a short b@stard and this winter I'll be finding some F3/F2 swing arm and wheels to do a little modifying. I had no idea - sorry. Just excited to have joined this site.
Thanks in advance for all this info |

Welcome Looks like you have been busy, judging from the photo's
At 5' 4" I can relate to being vertically economic. Maybe we should start a sub site within this site for short CBF owners. I know of at least one other vertically economic CBF owner.
When I get called short I reply "I'm not short, my legs reach the ground don't they?" |

Excellent find and price. That is exactly what I am looking for, a cheap project bike. |

Hey Azoton, I have relatives in Portland. I thought about bringing my 900 down there this summer. Whereabouts are you? My uncle lives out on Foster Road near Gresham. Cant remember the corner street he is on.
I have other relatives all around there as well.
If I come down, we will have to go for a ride. |

Boy, you had a busy winter! It looks great! Is that the pipe that came with it?
It it is, $50.00 for the exhaust would have been a find.
Welcome. I was pretty happy when I found this place too. |

canadarox_71: Portland's no all that big. Everything is just about 30 minutes from everthing else in the metro area and I live out towards the gresham area off of Division. If you make it this way this summer drop me a pm and we'll hook up for a ride. That would be cool
jons: The bike looks a lot better in the photo than it does in real life but I sure do like it. The pipe came with the bike - Just needed a little TLC - feel pretty good about that $50.00
Really wish I'd run into this site before I started. I'd be lookin a little different |
