I rode yesterday:
Sun washed, cool to the touch.
Clouds wispy, crossed by wind.
Leather and metal, nerves stainless steeled.
Focused attention, thoughts adrift.
Motor hum smooth vide, muscle carbon fibered
CR induction, shallow breathing.
Race baffled, quiet reflection.
Gear selections, my choices.
Red line, my limits.
Curves to lean, straights to shorten.
There to home, odometer paces.
Here to there, but a wink of the eye.
Solo rider, yet two up.
