Someone (Glenn?) replied to a post on shifting a while back saying "ride it like you stole it." Finally got the chance to do that today after about 2 week's worth of shakedowns. Wow! And still some RPMs on the scary part of the dial left over for the next ride. Best $650 I ever spent (well, don't tell my wife about the Partsnmore invoices...).

"ride it like you stole it" that is funny...last couple of days i found myself falling out of usuall shiffting patterns and the bike wasnt like it...then i thought of this thread and BAM! that was it ..i starting lol...i put myself in smky & bndt mode.wants to be shfted under load and accelerating with next shift....im gonna need a radr dtctr.... |

My ex-wife was looking at a small displacement cruiser and I sat on it and mentioned that the speedometer does not go very high. She says what do you mean, and I said that my bike goes faster than that in 3red gear. She kinda just looked at me and shook her head.
One more reason to divorce her. |
