I got a CB1100F, Of course, 1985 mod, SC11. Bought it in April this year
2003. Second hand owner.
It had run 81 000 km when I bought it, and I have ride 7000 since. At first it
got mounted a big fairing, but this was so heavy, that i took it of, an mounted
a double head light. And a bug spoiler. When I bought it, there where Castrol
engine oil on it, and I decided to change. Something i regret now. I changed to
Motul 15-14 semi synthetic oil. And it started to use 1 litre on 1000 km. But
after running it 5000 more it seams to reduce the consume less. But it is still
not good enough.
I've got big plans for this bike. ( Of course doesn't everybody?) It will
probably take me years, because in Norway it is not too many who rebuild their
bikes. To original standard they do, but not modifying radically. Problem is
that the stores do not sell custom parts to Japanese bikes. If you are in doubt
it the parts fits, you have to buy the part, and then try to make it fit. I am
not talking about, modifying parts to stock bikes.
I need to get some parts that Norwegian stores cant help me with. Like heavy
clutch springs. Nice small instrumentation. I want a bigger rear tire, but I
don't know how.
So I will be grateful, if someone can give me some hints.
I live the city of Stavanger, in Norway.
I will send you some more pictures later,
Regards
