A good friend of mine purchased this 1981 CB900F new when he was living in Edmonton, Alberta in the
early 80s. When he bought it, it was stock except for the Hannigan Sport/Touring fairing, superbike
handlebars and luggage carrier. He rode it to the west coast and back to Ontario but didn't ride it
much after that. In 1989 (after years of badgering), he sold it to me. I rode it as it was until
1999 when I decided it needed a new look and more power. I stripped it to the frame, had it powder
coated, had the bodywork painted in a matching base/clearcoat finish (I believe that the colour
match was from an old International Harvester colour chip), added a quarter fairing, installed a
Dynojet stage 3 kit, Vance & Hines exhaust and Avon Super Venom tires. The motor was still running
strong so it was left. It just turned 46,000km and has never had a problem. Right now, I'm trying to
decide if I'll sell it or upgrade it... my skills and need for speed have eclipsed my faithful but
aging CB's present capabilities.
Thanks
