This 1982 CB900F was found in 2001. It was purple when I got
it, but eventually it will be repainted it to the standard
silver and blue scheme. The purple paint was done pretty
well and it has grown on me (a little). Several people
suggest I leave like it is with the Vance & Hines pipe. If
I can find a nice stock exhaust, I'll put that back to
stock. The engine seems to be OK other than the nature of
the powerband. The valve shims needed attention right away,
and the chain, etc.
The odometer reads about 10000 miles, but I think it was run
hard in the past. It is a lively ride, and really comes
alive at about 50 mph, whereupon you better be holding on to
the bars. Anyway, I'm not into racing and I don't see many
of these bikes around (usually only cruisers, Harleys and
the Starboyz types who are from my area), so I'm gonna
reverse the modificatons a little at a time, and ride it all
I can.
Thanks
