Other information on this bike:
Hi, my name is Bryan Blinn and I purchased my 1982 Honda CB900F in February, 2000. I am the 3rd owner
and it is my first bike. It has 30,000 miles on it and the engine runs very VERY strong. There are a
few scratches and one ding on the tank, and there are the beginning of rust along the bottom edge
of the tank.
The only mechanical problem I'm having is the charging system. I just recently replaced a bad rotor, but
my battery still isn't charging. The stator tested good, so I believe it's the voltage regulator. Money
is tight right now, so I'm trying to save my pennies for a new one.
August 28th 2000 update:
I finally replaced the voltage regulator and my charging problems have been solved (knock on wood!). I've
been riding it as much as the weather permits and have absolutely fallen in love with the bike. It is a
bit heavy and tall when moving it around parking lots and such, but that extra weight is comforting when
riding... especially in any strong wind.
This winter I hope to do some repairs to the body work and will most likely repaint it. I am currently
leaning toward gloss black, dark navy, or silver, with just a 'HONDA' and 'CB900F SuperSport' decal on the
tank and side panels. While I love the retro look of the bike with it's decals, I believe it will be even
more spectacular once it's look is simplified a bit."
Thanks,
Bryan Blinn
