Canister 4 into 1 exhaust

Anybody remember when the canister 4 into 1's first came available. A guy on a Suzuki site says there was an optional exhaust, from Suzuki, for the "82" Suzuki GS1100E. It was a Yosh canister type 4 into 1. that was a Suzuki option. Me and several friends had 4 into 1 Megaphones back then, but no canisters. I's thinking the canisters were a little later. My "83" CB1100F has a V&H canister on it, but was bought long after "83".

i think the first oem stock "canisters" appeared on the 1st gen GSXR's, before that, they were all traditional 4 into 4, 4 into 2, or 4 into 1 in chrome, or black chrome. the gsxr pipe looked MASSIVE! they were wispier quiet also.
