I’ve been wanting one of these for a long while now. Just been waiting for the right one to come along. Found this baby on FB marketplace in Ohio. So did a 400 mile round trip today to buy her. All original, 20k miles, decent condition but has a few scrapes and dings. Nothing that should stop me getting her close to perfect. Even has a pristine tool kit and owners manual. 18 year old tires will be the first thing to fix. |

Congrats on the new ride.
It's a beauty!
Any chance you got the rear seat cowl? |

Sweet bike. I had one in 1989. Same exact paint scheme. I think that was only factory colors? Big bike, big power. I think i had the solo seat cover. The taillight with the two round lenses was kinda cool8) |

Great bike with the right looks Nick, i have a few of these since years.
Not a easy bike to ride when you get older because it is heavy.
I like the cb1100R more for my trips.
Good luck with your bike. |

Had one new in 85 great ride,
Covered up vents around headlight in cold conditions to get heat into mtr and warmer to ride.
Different color scheme down here |

Congrats, Nick - that is one nice ride! You're going to have a blast on that machine. It makes an insane amount of power and will be a lot of fun to ride. You'll have to post a pic of that next to your VFR750. They're both beautiful bikes. |

Thanks guys. Yeah I’m pretty well delighted as I’ve been looking for a good number of years trying to find the right one. This one is 100% complete and yes I have the rear seat cowl, and original tool kit, hand book and shop manual. I will go through her mechanically first, desperately needs the brakes sorted and new tires plus I will get every service and maintenance item. Then go back around and fix the cosmetic blemishes. The motor runs smooth, strong and quiet but with the brakes working at about 50% and 18 year old tires Im fearful of pushing her hard. I know these are on the heavy side but I still manage my ST1300 OK so as long as I can keep up going to the gym regularly I should be OK. |

You are going to need a bigger shop or let one go as you acquire a new one!!

Hey Chris, the guy I bought it from in Ohio got it a couple of years ago from Sterling Heights MI. About 20 mins from where I live. So I’m at least the third owner. I still have plenty of room to move and work in my garage so not done adding yet
And Happy Christmas to you, see you at the next spring ride hopefully. |
