Ive added the first of many CB900F restoration videos to my Youtube channel :
https://youtu.be/Mva80ImQS3w
There's about 90 or so Vids there on my bikes and restorations if you decide to venture into watching some other stuff.
Hope you enjoy, ill be trying to get one a week up there on the CB900F but that may depend on the summer farming schedule, now until September is a busy time.
Thanks in advance for all the CB900F tips and advice, I know very little about the CB900F's at this point |

Straycat, concerning the slow jet under the rubber plug, just pushing a wire through it while the jet is still in the carb will not work. It must be extracted.
I just cleaned a set of CBX Carbs..

Did you break the bead first? It makes no sense that you had so much trouble. I have been using a Harbor Freight tire changer with some upgrades for years and can have a tire off the rim in 5 mins or less. I've mounted some pretty fat tires with very little trouble. Your tire changer is far superior to mine and should have been even easier to use. I'm a bit stumped here... |

Oh yea, bead broken on Both sides of the tire all the way around. that was the easy part.
I did figure out why it wouldn't stay in the clamps, but never sorted out why it wouldn't go in in the first place. |

Nah, nothing to worry about.. Get the proper drill bit, wrap tape to create a "Positive" Depth Stop, then drill the pilot jet.
Then tap the newly drilled hole in the jet, install the Nut-Washer-Bolt setup, turn the nut, thereby extracting the jet. Easy-Peasey.

CB900F is slowly going back together...
https://youtu.be/vIWQ-vkmHwM
Now im dealing with a huge mess which is the brake callipers and rear master cyl.
All have now been stripped and getting cleaned and rebuilt (seals, pistons, lines etc).
Then its forks to rebuild, which I suspect will be straight forward if they're much like all the others ive done |
