USPS Mail service to lands Down-Under

For at least 6 months, my local post office has said that Australia is not accepting mail from the US and so they decline to take my packages. (They do admit there are some mail services open, but that the cost for even a very small package is in the $200-300 range.)

Is anyone else having any luck mailing to Oz via USPS? Have you found other, reasonably-priced options?

Fed. ex or DHL. That is all I use now for Japan or NZ and it is there in 3 days

Seems odd that they would take FedEx, DHL, etc. but not international mail. Can't be Covid related as that doesn't make any sense.

To answer the question... I export worldwide via FedEx and haven't had any issues to Australia.

USPS Priority Mail Express International is only service available to Australia. It's about twice the price as First Class International and 50% more than Priority Mail.

I'm trying to have stuff sent to me here in NZ from the USA- as has been stated there is no parcel service using USPS to either OZ or NZ at this time due to Covid...it's all very clearly laid out here:

The only option right now is Fedex or DHL and that is going to cost big bucks which I'm not going to put up with- I'll wait it out

NZ Post offers a 'deputy' service. It could be handy for items from USA sellers that wont ship outside the USA. They also consolidate items to cut down on shipping costs;

You can wait it out but 3 day service from the opposite side of the world to my door rocks and is worth 100 xtra. Sometimes usps is weeks or months. You could row a boat there faster.
