Dang it's HOT out here..... BIG TIME RECORD TEMPS!!!!!

Went to The Moto America Race yesterday at, The Ridge Motorsport Park Track.. UHGGGG, brutal... Hit 101 degrees..

The ride home, was hot.. All geared up, riding the CBX, was like a hair dryer blasting you..

Any F-ers riding up here in this heat??

Stay hydrated,
Mel

Those are pretty much the temps from June to October around here. Unless I have somewhere to go, I don't go out. Not really good temps for the bikes either.

Hot weather riding prescription. Do not ride with exposed skin, long sleeve shirt minimum, better with ventilated medium weight jacket with min. front and rear vent of some sort. If it is hot when you leave in the early morning ( not usually) wet you shirt and under shorts just before you get dressed bring one bottle of water with you. When you get to the next gas stop buy 2 bottles of water, cold, drink one put the other in your onboard storage (saddle bags), take the original bottle you stored to start, unzip your jacket, loosen you belt and pants, dump some water from that bottle down the front of you pants/leathers, some down the back of you pants, some down the front and rear of your jacket, leave you fly down if you wish. Evaporative cooling usually good until you next stop. By the time the bottle of water in your bags is tolerable temp to douse yourself with again. Generally good for 175-200 miles, softail/VFR tank full. Ice cold water not recommended.
