Need a kit for the ole girl, starts like Jack da bear when she is cold, once hot...not much cranking..who makes a good kit at a reasonable price...in Canada of course 😉 |

The Arrowhead SMU9123 is the best rebuild kit for our starters. The kit is complete and everything fits. The "el cheapo's" out there from Caltric and others have brush plates that don't fit and they don't always include both end bearings. Unfortunately, the price for the Arrowhead kit keeps climbing due to supply chain issues. Shop around and find the best deal you can. It's the only one I'll use. |

That's the one I was looking at 😁. When I pull the starter I'm installing the r6 starter clutch I've had sitting collecting dust.

Installed the arrowhead kit yesterday and the headless r6 starter clutch, wow what a difference turns over when hot like the plugs are out. Starter overhaul is a breeze and we'll worth the effort and 70 bucks, also met up with fitter for a nice rice lake tour. 😁 |
