Found this bike locally on FB Marketplace. 1996 Ducati 900 SS SP (Special Production) #E54 of 80 US market.
Owner said it didn't run. I checked for spark and compression both were good. So I bought it. $2250. Worked on it a little tonight and it needs a fuel pump and the carbs need a good cleaning. He bought it from an older gentleman and then never rode it because he couldn't get it running.
I had it fired up running off my gas IV bottle. This is gonna be a good one.

I really love a nice Ducati. I have a friend up here in NH selling a 900ss (1990 I think?) With about 3000 miles on it. He's the only owner and it was given to him by Ducati. He used to be a factory Ferrari driver back in the 50' and 60's. Wish I had the money to snap it up but such is life. |
