Same here. My brother and I took a run up the Putty. Lucky for us there’s no riding season in NSW! |

I had to look up 'the Putty' on google maps. Looks like real twister as it goes through the park. Nice ride! |

I think after many years I found a NOS side cover to complete my CB900FC body work set. |

I drilled and tapped an M6 hole in the rotor bolt so that I can use a degree wheel without disturbing the rotor bolt. Just a thought. |
I like it. Good idea! |

I think you should offer these for those of us that can’t find the bolt center, I’ll take a couple, let me know when I can send some cores. |

I have a handful of cores so I'll make a few. Meanwhile, I through drilled mine and tapped it to accept an M6 bolt.

I reinstalled the speedo and tach after changing out my bent clock backing plate after a stupid tipover in the garage. Glanced off my new Kwak but did next to no damage. One of our members in Perth was nice enough to send me a NOS part for a fair price. Thanks thx113.
I hadn't ridden it in about 3 weeks. Started first push of the button. Always a good feeling. Went for a ride down to the Wall at Cronulla to check out the waves. Life is good. |

Took my tank back to the paint shop, to be repainted
The paint shop did a fantastic job, absolutely perfect.
If it isn't fitted to my bike, I sit it in an old car tyre. The tank sits nicely across the sidewall, with the fuel tap inside the tyre. So I took it home and left it on the tyre, I still haven't figured out why my bike is overcharging and then burning out its regulator/rectifier. The next weekend I had the tyre and tank outside my garage, so I could pull the bike out and try to find the cause. A few of the local young lads came past and were asking me about the bike, so I was chatting to them, answering questions as you do. They asked me something and the easiest way to answer was to turn around and point to it. Then I heard a 'thunk - grate' noise. Already knowing, I turned round again. My just painted tank had 'fallen ???' off the tyre and rolled over, on tarmac. Paint in a hell of a state.
I don't know if it was done deliberately (not impossible around here), or if it was just young lads horsing around and knocked it by mistake. I didn't even ask, just told them to "go away" but not in those words. I wasn't sure whether I was going to cry, or rip someone's arm off and beat all their heads in with the soggy end. Safer just to tell them to go |

Well I finally finished up some much needed maintenance.
New rear tire
New chain and sprockets
New starter clutch (thanks Carey. Love it!)
New SS bolt kit (Thanks Tom!)
150mph Speedo and Tach
Euro LH/RH controls
New Gold Renthal bars (Thanks LarryG!)
New starter solenoid
New battery
Valve adjust
Took it out for an extended ride with Mr.Clean (Shawn) this afternoon. Great to have it back on the road.

Enjoying learning to use my 3D printer. Lots of nifty things can be made.
To date I've made a pod for an oil pressure & temp. gauge and a bracket to relocate my GPS device away from my bars. |

Wow! Very impressed with 3D printing. Must investigate.
In the meantime Basmn called me up to go on a test ride with him after he refurbished his starter. We got some looks when we parked for a water break. His Red 1100 sure is nice! |

Well I got inspired by Rick cleaning his starter so I did the same. It was giving me a problem when the engine was hot. So all I did was take it apart and cleaned it. Seems to have fixed my hot starting issue. |

Sweet! Are these your own original designs? I love making useful prints but I haven't done anything for any of my bikes yet. I have way more ideas than talent in 3D modeling. LOL
What type of filament did you use? |

Yes, all my designs. Still very much a beginner with Solidworks. Because the parts are out in the sunshine, I used ASA filament because of its better UV resistance. |

G'day Fellas.
Been a while since last visit. The 1100 has been parked since my left hip blew out 10 months ago and another 4 months till I get a new one. I can't get my feet up on the pegs.
So I decided to give her a good going over. Did front & rear brakes with all the rubbers and pads, hope the master cylinder kits come tomorrow.
I don't like getting covered in oil when strobing the timing (especially doing full advance) so I picked up a SOHC timing cover and cut a hole in it to shine the strobe light through. It's not an exact fit being a bit larger and needed spacers behind the screw holes. Makes the job a lot cleaner.
Cheers |

All i really nees to know is what i need to set the idle speed to cause i cleaned it and i also need to know what type of oil i need for it. Id apreciate it if somebody that knows more about this than me could let me know. |

My bike is finally ready for spring riding, this will be my 16th season riding this baby. I would never have thought I would have this bike this long back when I bought it in November of 2007.
I had a new Shinko 712R installed using CounterAct balancing beads, a new RK X-ring gold chain and a black Super Sprox rear sprocket.
I also had my mechanic check on cam chain adjustment, valve clearances, carb sync, compression check. It's running great as usual. |

Hi Chris
What size is the tyre?
I have had to get 150/70 76H Shinko as others not available
Running Gsxr swingarm
Problems with freight imports.
Happy with it in the dry and I have a Shinko on front
Peter. |
